To all you wonderful wanderers. Here is a song for you, for the desert, for the journey, for the visions. It was the day of our conversation that brought the energy and focus to bring this together. Thanks! Love, Ash.

Death Valley - Overflowing

It was early November when I joined a dozen seekers
Out in the middle of nowhere
Each brought their own pack, full of dreams and things
A tarp, some wounds from the past, and water

It seemed the time was moving extra slow
As we walked into the mountains
Those mountains of our Mother's making - looking
Until each of us alone had found our place on the ground
Between two rocks, or bushes, to listen

It made sense to kill some time beside the river
So dry and filled with sand
Filled with whispered words I never would remember
Left to float out of my head

Some days were harder than others
Tell me something I didn't know - Something
Something that feels like the sky opening up
Dropping down stars all in that little cup in the palm of my heart - Overflowing

Or something sweet, like a mouse buried in my bag
Looking for its own way to keep on keeping on - with something to chew
Every now and then I'm right there, sitting in the middle of that desert
With enough grease in my hair to start a fire

Is the wash is the sun is the mountain
Is the lion just a dream - I am
As I walk here all alone with all the others
Tracing spirals in the sand again

There are stories I've been told
Some don't sound that very old
Some were born so long ago
Some just don't know where to go.

Sunrise, Sunset - Until we meet again
